Forget about making a reservation online...it's simply not honored at the restaurant. We were squeezed into a tiny table that had just become available. The restaurant was packed, resulting in extremely stuffy, stale air and an unbearable noise level. The waitstaff was frantically running up and down the stairs, creating even more chaos. Our soups arrived after 45 minutes of impatiently asking for them! They tasted quite good. Later arrivals had already finished eating! Then we had to wait again for the main course. Among other things, we ordered pasta tossed in a Parmesan wheel (which I've had absolutely delicious at the Versilia in Weimar)...here, the pasta was drowning in an extremely greasy, thick cheese and cream sauce. The food was lukewarm to cold, and the sauce was partially dried up...it had clearly been sitting around for ages. I could only eat about a third of my portion. My stomach simply couldn't hold any more food. The waitress cleared my almost full plate, grimaced, and rolled her eyes when I explained why I refused to eat. Completely rude and unprofessional. And all that for over €21 a portion! I would have at least expected an apology or a complimentary espresso. In short: The evening was incredibly disappointing and unpleasant.
