Very good food, but a very special praise for our service. It has served the entire upper floor completely with everything, whether with cocktails, other drinks, food, always with a smile on the lips and always friendly. This creates an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and like to stay a little longer and order something more. View all feedback.
What Ollie Lindgren doesn't like about El-Sombrero:
View all feedback.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was really tasty and moderately priced. They have margarita specials. The restaurant is popular with students
Margaritas This is enough for me and my friends to spend really often a nice evening together at El Sombrero. The food may not be really mexican, but it's good enough and at fair prices. My suggestions are some XXXL burgers, and the...spare ribs also all you can eat on mondays. Really nice personnel except sometimes the guy i assume to be the boss. If you plan to have dinner it's almost mandatory to have a reservation
I will admit that this is not at all authentic Mexican food but it is very well attempted and the best of the kind we get here in Jena. The place is quite tastefully ethnically decorated and the servers are very friendly. The food is...nice and portions are generous for the price. It isn't exactly low priced but one wouldn't mind it. Although there seems to be a huge variety of food, options for vegetarians are limited to burritos and fajitas. The real crowd pullers are, however, the cocktail happy hours. A reservation is recommended. They also do home delivery.. Definitely worth a try
