Nice little place the locals love. I was almost damped by a mob of seniors when the doors were open at 5:00, so I knew we were in the right place. That said the food was pretty good. Definitely the best food we had on Jekyll Island during our time. Our server was also super friendly. Amazing peach bblers to finish our meal. View all feedback.
The shrimp and grits, squash casserole, and fried green tomatoes were all fantastic!
Wow!!! The service was incredible—one of the best we've ever experienced! The women at the host stand were so friendly and welcoming! Our lovely waitress was like an angel!!! I only wish I could remember her name. Now, let’s discuss the food! Ladies and gentlemen, you won't find better cooking anywhere unless you're at your grandparents' house on a Sunday! Honestly, this place deserves more than five stars!!!!
We arrived at 5:15 PM on a Thursday night and encountered a 10-minute wait. We began our meal with the okra appetizer, which was served with ranch dressing. The whole okra was deep-fried in a delicious batter. For my main course, I had the stuffed collard greens accompanied by sweet potato soufflé and squash casserole. My husband ordered the Wild Georgia shrimp, which were grilled and served with French fries and sweet coleslaw. We sat near the bar since the dining room was full. The service was excellent, as was the food. This restaurant offers a wide variety of vegetable options. I could easily enjoy multiple meals here and be very happy.
Everything we ate was delicious. I highly recommend the squash casserole.
Great food and service! Fried seafood platter was the bomb! Can’t wait to get back to you!
