What Charlotte H doesn't like about Bluebird By Magpie:
Good beer, so many options to meet any taste. We had 2 dark coffee/bourbon beers, an IPA and a kölsch: all were delicious. The music was EXTREMELY loud hiphop. I tried to sit further away from the speaker, but the waitress insisted that we sit at a specific table (even though the bar was totally empty) I truly don’t understand this practice. Nice microbrewery located near the ocean in Jeju city. The beers are good (especially the sours), the pizza is halfway decent even by western standards, and the staff speak really good English. Absolutely worth stopping by for a drink or two after a long day of sightseeing
I went here twice on my 4 days on the island, a Wednesday and Friday evening. The first night I was one of only a few customers, but Friday was hopping with Koreans of all ages. The beer was good I had the porter and 2 lighter beers. The staff speak adequate English and seem to know their stuff. I was impressed by the fact that they sterilize their glasses before pouring, even though they are obviously clean. I’ve been to bars in Korea that reuse glasses and wash them by hand, so this was a welcome change. Although I wasn’t hungry, the pizzas looked as good as anything that you can get in the country. I liked the interior of the building as well. Check it out if you’re in Jeju.
Super light, airy pizza. Only beer for alcohol, but the small batch sodas are delicious. Fast and courteous service.
Yes, please a must if you’re in the area. It’s a fun loud venue. Great service. I wanted a sour and the Ghost did not disappoint. It was delicious and refreshing. The quickie was awesome! My partner loved his picks too; pale ale and the porter. The Hawaiian pizza was really good with a thin crunchy crust chicken tenders were good too
