The Heron's Landing - Jefferson

We love Heron's Landing. It has a unique ambience; historic reniniscence of early Jefferson, a wonderful outdoor patio set on the banks of the Rock River, Matt the bartender is one of the best mixologist around and the food is not only well prepared but the diverse menu seems to please a variety of palates. Vegetarian options: Surprised by the salads, sandwiches or entree options for my vegetarian husband. His favorite a Portabella sandwich accompanied by a apple, cranberry walnut salad.

Have gone for lunch many times and carried out. I have loved everything I have tried. I love the Dam Burger, the Gobbler. Potato Boats are always a good choice for an appetizer. They have the best homemade chips of anywhere I've been. People are always friendly there and helpful. The location is great, too. Worth a stop if you're travelling through or by Jefferson or if you live nearby. Very Wisconsin :

Best clam chowder I 've had-and i love clam chowder. Pan fried perch blue gills are the tops and the potato pancakes closely resemble Jewish ones. Order an ice cream after dinner for a delicious 'splurge '

Decent food, great staff that was very helpful, and an awesome location. Very picturesque. I would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Again, the food is fine, get appetizers, because those are probably one of the best things they offer Vegetarian options: They have a part of the menu set aside for fully vegi options. Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu with lots of options like Mac and cheese

Stopped here for lunch, taking a day trip to Jefferson. Restaurant on the Rock River. Outdoor patio and seating. Very clean. Friendly staff, the food was great ? Nicely landscaped. Great view of the river and park on the other side.
