The Local Tavern - Jasper

Man...so glad we stopped here for food! We were trying to make it to Nashville but ended up not being able to wait to eat. I ordered a fish sandwich which was so good. The fish was fresh, hand breaded and cooked perfectly. The real winner was what my busband ordered: Tavern 55 burger. Wow! You could just tell how good it was going to taste just by looking at it. Probably won't find ourselves in Jasper again (though it's beautiful over there) but sure glad we found it last night!

Today was our second time here and again, we were not disappointed!!! The Sriracha Honey Brussel Sprouts were a perfect blend of sweet salty, The Trash Can Nachos were delicious with the added queso cheese and the Farmhouse Burger was everything my hubby was craving! Our meals were prepared as we ordered, our server, Chloe was spot on!! We definitely will go again! If you haven?t tried this gem, you absolutely must!!!

I got Asian chili chicken tenders and with waffle fries. It was homemade, hot, and delicious!!! ?????? Great staff, very clean welcoming! The building is so nicely decorated! Hoping to pass through this area again!!

We?ve been to this unassuming little bar three times since they remodeled, and we?ll be going back. It?s clean, open, and airy. Several televisions are hanging on the walls (but not blaring and there are even USB chargers built into the bar. Nice touch. There?s a decent beer selection, but I wish they offered wine and/or cocktails (although that particular wish goes unfulfilled in just about every place in the valley. Why? The food is a step up from basic bar fare and generously portioned. Some of the dishes are quite creative and inspired, and the jalepeno popper sandwhich with sidewinders makes me want to plan ahead and wear stretchy pants. Service has been pretty consistent each of our visits, and special ?shout out? to Hayden as one of the best servers around. It?s always a pleasure when he?s working. All in all, highly recommended for a clean, comfortable, and friendly tavern.

This piece of heaven is my top 5 favorite places to eat. I rarely don't rate restaurants. But the local tavern definitely deserves it. I highly recommend the Tavern burger And the Philly cheese sandwich. ?????????????????? Im excited for a door dash option.
