He ordered the p... read more We recently moved to Jasper and today, my husband and I decided to try out this BBQ restaurant for lunch. We opted to sit outside on the porch. He ordered the pulled pork special for lunch, while I chose the veggie plate with four sides. Everything was absolutely delicious! The sides were cooked perfectly—not overdone as I’ve experienced at other BBQ places before. Our waitress was also incredibly friendly and attentive. I’m looking forward to bringing the whole family back soon!

Very friendly staff and great ambiance for what it is-a barbecue joint. Indoor and outdoor seating. Apparently they have won some pretty major barbecue cookoffs. One sign read world champions, or something to that effect. Skip Biggun's. That place is like eating in a cafeteria, and it's always crowded out the wazoo. Find your own table, if there is one, etc. Spend your money at Bub-ba-q. Ambiance and atmosphere here are the best in the region. Hostess will seat you, lots of TVs, etc. Parking: Lots of spaces. However there is typically a crowd here any time.

We tried the sampler appetizer, salad, chicken, ribs, stew, and fries. The only dish that didn’t impress us was the stew. For lunch, the price per person was around $10–20. Overall, we rated the food, service, and atmosphere a perfect 5. I highly recommend the Fried Pickles and Bubba Penos!

[Perhaps it has improved since then...one has to hope]. For starters, the Mexican wrap actually had tin foil in it and the rest of the foodsuch as ribs and chicken were simply not the same as a year or so ago. Again, maybe it's gotten better since.
