I admit to being skeptical of the earlier Must-visit and Best-Meal-of-the-Monats reviews, but that was definitely recommended for me too. not too expensive for what it is, that is a hostile-esque-root experience. View all feedback.
We were looking for a peaceful place after we had explored Kiyomizu-Dera, and this beautiful place has revived and made us happy. the food is prepared by the chef of cuisine, who seems to lead the place! they offer vegan options, and we enjoyed a four cure meal that was filled and delicious. highly recommended if they were looking for beautiful qualitatiw high quality food, away from the busy tourist roads! would give 5 stars if I could.

Vegan set is a must eat in kyoto. beautiful small restaurant full of the owner guided alone. classically trained in French cuisine and it shows in its presentation and aromen. small starter, Ravioli/Gyoza, main grass plate and small dessert. highly recommended.
Le Sel Organic was a chance encounter near Gion based on a Happy Cow recommendation, but the restaurant is not vego (yet vego and vegan accommodating). Seating only 6, perhaps 8 at a pinch, you order from the machine (English available) and then the parallels to most ramen shops stops. The formally trained chef prepares everything in from of you, from the tiny delicious morsels as appetizers to the delicate ravioli and delicious rice. Finally, as you are warm and relaxed- perhaps by a glass of cold organic sake- a big brothy bowl of fresh ramen arrives. Hair ties and bibs are available for the super slurpers. To finish, finely diced apple in a caramel sauce with sorbet is served up. This is not marketplace ramen; this is one of the best meals I've had in the last 12 months. Do try it if you're in need of lunch after visiting Kiyomizu-dera.
I had the vegan ramen set and it was delicious! A perfect way to complete a journey to Kiyomizu-Debra!
