In Kanazawa, they have a strong passion for seafood. One of the top spots to enjoy a meal (and stay cool) is the Omicho market, where you can find numerous small restaurants popular among locals. At some of these establishments, you make your selection at a machine (just click on the image and insert your money) before entering with your receipt. The specialty dish here is a bowl of rice topped with exceptionally fresh sashimi.

The food, presented in a traditional way, is delicious. Especially when you're exhausted after spending the day walking and visiting things, it's a good place to rest and enjoy exquisite Japanese dishes.
