They have a different style of ramen with a high vegetable content and a reputation for being quite healthy (unlike tonkotsu, iekei, or shoyu due to their high levels of saturated fats). The noodles are green in color, and the soup flavor is not too intense. But undoubtedly the most strange and never-before-seen thing about this restaurant is... they have a cotton candy machine that you can use for free!! This is a total draw for the public as almost no other place has something as peculiar, and customers tend to remember Hamatora's ramen more for its free cotton candy machine than for its ramen. The quality of the photos is poor because my camera battery died, but as you can see, it is made with more vegetables and is healthier. I will upload more photos when I return on my next visit to Japan because I will definitely be returning to this ramen spot.
The Hamatora is located in Hiyoshi and is the most unique ramen restaurant I visited during my trip to Japan. They offer a different style of ramen with a high vegetable content and a reputation for being quite healthy compared to other types of ramen like tonkotsu, iekei, or shoyu due to lower levels of saturated fats. The noodles are green and the soup has a subtle flavor. However, the most unusual and never-before-seen aspect of this restaurant is their cotton candy machine that customers can use freely. This novelty is a big hit with the public as very few places offer something so unique, and customers often remember the Hamatora not just for their ramen, but for their complimentary cotton candy as well. The quality of the photos in this review is not great since my camera battery died, but you can see that the ramen is packed with vegetables and is a healthier option. I will be sure to take more pictures on my next visit to Japan as I am definitely planning on returning to this ramen spot.
