Bessie 's is a relatively new, sparkling diner located at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport. They serve breakfast and lunch. We went late morning with another couple and all of us had a great meal. We started with a flight of mimosas. There are 11 different mimosas on the menu and a flight consisted of 4. We chose traditional, pineapple, raspberry and peach. Then we got to our excellent meals. I had biscuits an... View all feedback.
What Gabriella Metz doesn't like about Bessie's Diner:
Food was overall good unique, expensive for a benedict that didn’t come with any sides like hash browns or fruit. **** mary flight mimosa flight don’t have the price on them but you could barely taste any (if at all) alcohol in the drinks, definitely not worth the $25 and $28 to taste juice or bottled mix. service was subpar, had to ask for water, a box, check if we pay up front- not the buggiest of deals but $100 la... People told me this place was great. We must have caught them on a bad day. Prices were high, and portions were small. Toast, with breakfast, was extra. Food was cold. Service was poor. The fruit pizza for kids was awful. It was an untoasted English muffin. The topping was sour cream with powdered sugar, I think with 3-4 pieces of fruit on it for $8. The guys said the biscuits and gravy was OK, but not hot. Sadly, I would not recommend it.
I 'm sorry it took me so long to find this place. The country benny : poached eggs, sausage patties and English muffin halves covered in sausage gravy was awesome! Nice view of the airport and small planes taxiing to the runway. We were seated quickly but a line had formed to get in while we ate. Will definitely eat here again line or no line. Definitely recommend.

We chose traditional, pineapple, raspberry and peach. Then we got to our excellent meals. I had biscuits and gravy. It was served with an egg and it tasted great. My wife had the peaches and cream french toast, and one of our relatives had the avocado benny (Eggs Benedict) . Our fourth member went to the lunch side of the menu and ordered the raspberry salad. Everyone in our group throughly enjoyed their meal. In addition, we had a pleasant, conscientious and knowledgeable server.
While we were having lunch, 3 planes taxied to the restaurant for lunch. Pretty cool. Our group had a mix of breakfast and lunch items. We had pancakes and bacon, eggs benedict, an omelette, a Reuben and a patty melt. All were very good to excellent. We had a couple minor issues. There are no large tables so 5 of us sat at a 4 top which made things cramped. The benedict wasn't hot but was still tasty. And the patty melt was soggy. But overall, it was a good time. And definitely worth a return visit.
