Tres Taqueria - JAMUL

Was my favorite taco spot in El Cajon, But they have moved into a casino I guess.. Not my type of vibe wish you were still in el cajon come back

Surprisingly good. When you're not in the mood to have a fancy dinner and really just need a quick meal, this is a great option located in the food court. Service is prompt and the food is made fresh. It tastes great and is reasonably priced if you have to pay. If you have a comp even better. Just wish they had a salsa bar with all the fixing such as hot carrots and grilled onions. The small things you'd expect to have from a taco shop. When I visited, the tables within the food court were hard to come by... but I was able to enjoy my meal with my wife. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again. I recommend their TJ style hot dog as well as their Carne Asada chips. Note, they use a combination of nacho cheese and shredded cheese. Interesting but very yummy.

Better food than Jack in the Box tacos...but the slowest service I 've ever seen. They need to take some process improvement lessons from anyplace ending in 'Berto. For a casino hoping to liberate my money from my wallet, they appear in no rush for me to get back to the games.

Poor management every time I go to use my food credit they run out of there delicious roll tacos and there TJ dogs..management should make sure that they are fully stocked to handle the massive food credit customers..

I am really trying to like this place. So I said I would never come to Jamul Casino again. Well I got a message from Holly (casino rep) and even through they didn 't offer the games I like she did say I should come for the food. Ok here it is. First I was going to the dance club JIVE, I would have logged in but it 's not listed. You can be the first to review (after you read this review). Anyway I wanted something quick because I wanted to see the band so I opt for pizza. Well guess what. Due to large demand, we are not offering single slices at this time. Come on really on a Saturday evening and I need to buy a whole pizza for myself? Not a great first food experience. So let 's try Tres Taqueria. Now I already had Aldaberto 's carne asada burrito for breakfast that day so I decided to try their shrimp. I didn 't want to be bias so I the shrimp it is. Simple menu really limited in their selection and the chefs are right in front making your meal so that 's nice. It took sometime to get my meal. Now what I do like, is there are screens that tells you when your order is really for pickup. The displays are visible wherever you are seated. You don 't need binoculars if you 're seating in the back because the seating is small. Unfortunately since it 's small it 's crowded and dirty. I don 't know how often they empty the trash but it should be a little more often because all the bins were overfilling. And the dirty trays were stacking up. I really didn 't want to eat there but I had not much of a choice. The food was average. A little bit more seasoning would do wonders but surprise, surprise the burrito was overflowing with shrimp. I really liked that. And that habanero dip perfect. Be warned, it 's spicy. Overall two stars. The ingredients were already made, the burrito just had to be assembled so I don 't know why the longer wait. And really the dining area need to be cleaned more often. On the good side the cashier was really nice and explained the street taco pricing. $2.75 for one taco a little steep. Now excuse me, time to get the groove on. M
