The meat is superb as well as having homemade sausage, great bacon, organic turkey, pork and some unusual treats like alligator and elk. As others have mentioned, a good friend of mine took a deer to this place for processing. When he picked up his packaged meat months later, it smelled terrible and rotten after being defrosted. Is this guy's freezer contaminated? View all feedback.
In December, we learned that the ranch butcher's truck was broken, and they couldn’t accommodate us until possibly late January. After being given the runaround so many times and hearing "I don’t know who told you that" during our calls, we felt like we were less important than other customers. Frustrated, we started looking for alternatives. Fortunately, we found a ranch butcher who came out as promised, was quick, efficient, and even more affordable than this business would have been. We were always the ones reaching out; they never called us to update us on their delays. The only time they contacted us was in January, after the butcher had repaired his truck. I can’t speak to the quality of their meats since I never got that far with them, but based on my experience, their ranch butchering services and customer service are seriously lacking.
I have ordered my last three Prime Rib Roasts from Rawhide Meats, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Their prices are competitive, and the quality of the meat is outstanding. They also offer a variety of other delicious meats, jerky, and bacon. I absolutely love this place!
We stopped by on our way back to Buckley, Washington, from Sonora and had the best beef jerky I've had in years.
I visited Rawhide Meats in Jamestown for the first time today, and I have to say, the customer service was very disappointing. After my experience, I’ve decided not to support this business any longer. I purchased two pounds of stir fry beef, and when I defrosted and opened the package, the smell was awful. I cooked a piece to try it, but it tasted so terrible that I had to spit it out. I will definitely be looking for a different local rancher.
I brought in a deer that I harvested to see what this place was like, since our usual butcher was busy. I dropped it off at Rawhide, and I was impressed with the reasonable prices and excellent service! The steaks were cut perfectly, and there was hardly any gamey taste to anything. The jerky I got was absolutely mouthwatering, and the spicy breakfast sausage paired wonderfully with some eggs. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place!
