G's Jamaican Restaurant offers a mixed dining experience that resonates with comfort food enthusiasts. Patrons appreciate generous portions and reasonable prices, particularly lauding dishes like the oxtail and jerk chicken. However, consistency is a concern, with some meals proving unsatisfactory due to overcooked textures or excessive sweetness in sauces. The restaurant’s cozy, mom-and-pop vibe enhances its appeal, and friendly staff have been noted for their pleasing attitudes. While prices may align with competitors, diners encourage always opting for larger sizes to maximize value. Overall, G's continues to attract customers drawn to its flavorful offerings and homestyle cooking.

Was Kevin Paterson at G's Homestyle Cooking a mag?
Met up with a friend here because we needed a central point to eat. Turned it to be a ok choice. Ordered a Jerk Chicken meal and an Oxtail meal. Both meals came with rice and peas, and fried plantains. The jerk sauce was ok but the cook of the chicken wasn't done well. The Oxtail was cooked good but the sauce too sweet. Overall it was just ok. View all feedback.

What Alicia J dislikes about G's Homestyle Cooking:
The prices are good and the portions are decently sized. The food itself can be a hit or miss. Some days the food is so good you just gobble it up. Tonight was definitely a miss; my stewed beef was dry, chewy, tasted old, and overall unpleasant. View all feedback.

This place on Sutphin serves delicious meals. Staff is warm and the natural juices are really good.

The food at this restaurant is consistently tasty. There may be a wait sometimes, as the cashier also helps with food preparation and during those times no one else can handle the checkout. However, my recent experience ordering the veggie chunks was disappointing. They were overly salty and lacked flavor. I believe Miss G's can improve on this dish. Additionally, I was not provided with a fork. This was unusual as I usually enjoy ordering from here.
