Haven’t been to this Filipino market/turoturo on parson Blvd for years. Love the transformation. The whole space has been elevated. There’s seating up front, a baked goods section, a variety of Filipino market goods and a small space at the back with a couple more tables. It has a warm industrial feel with with faux exposed brick walls, distressed wooden tables benches with accents of steel pipes. Each table has its own digital turoturo ordering device. Which made it super easy to order and customize your dishes. Love that they give you the option to add on dishes to your order so you can try other small dishes at a reasonable price. They’re a 10% gratuity tacked on plus you can add more if you’d like. The pork tosilog had a side of green mango salsa. 1/3 of the dish was fatty which was expected. But I always prefer it to be more lean. The tapsilog was nice and tender. A bit more sour than normal which meant you didn’t have to add too much suka. Arroz caldo had a nice gingery chicken sabao based porridge with a full size hard boiled egg. The bulalo was so flavorful. They packed the bowl with meat and veggies along with soup. The lumpia Shanghai was really fresh. Crispy on the outside and meat was tender compared to the frozen ones that are hard and dry. Sad they didn’t have halo halo. The flan was just subpar. It had a strange granulated surface that seems like it should have been torched. Thick and smooth but missing that velvety creamy touch. Keurig coffee was flat, dark and bland.Quick easy bite and pretty satisfying. Just missing some of our go to faves like pork sisig , turon, melon. Maybe they’ll have it once it gets warmer? It’s mid April now.
Love coming here. Nice resto concept. Delicious Filipino food and the whole staff is friendly. You get more than what you pay for, they give give big servings.Food: 5/5
Great Filipino cuisine, and Filipino supermarket in Jamaica Queens. Great quality food, fair prices. Small eating area, iPad ordering menu. Serves breakfast lunch dinner. Has a parking lot. Great halo halo desert. Friendly staff. Highly recommended. Definitely will come back again again.
It’s good filipino food. No frills, mom and pop store. Food is cheap and good quality. If you haven’t tried definitely worth it. Every thing tasted good.
