I went to sunny side up few days back and I ordered a chocolate pastry. It was not fresh. I asked the manager to change it but the one they replaced it with was also stale. View all feedback.

Really great culinary collection and true to menu presentation. Awesome food and great ambiance. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and the non-veg is soft and fresh too. We love this place.
SUNNYSIDE UP A few years ago , a friend recommended this restaurant to me , adding that the food was good and well worth the amount they charge . To a person , used to names such as the Savoy , Supper Club ,Orient Express etc as havens of fine dining , this name seemed more akin to an American Diner . One fine day , I reluctantly visited this restaurant with my family . The first thing that struck me was their warm , polite and welcoming attitude . Despite being busy , the staff was patient with the customers and took time to understand their order , making valid suggestions where required . Being aware that every bartender has his own version of a cocktail which he feels , would be more suited to the tastes of the local gentry , I ordered a mojito with instructions to replace white rum with vodka , reduce the sugar syrup , add an extra squeeze of lemon and top with a squirt of more soda and less ice . To my surprise , the result was Perfect . The bartender had understood my request and created exactly what I had desired . Others were happy with a Corona and lemon . For starters we ordered a platter consisting of Hummus , Baba Ganoush and one more dip , served with crisp toasted bread strips and Lavash [ paper thin triangles of roasted dough with Til [ sesame ] seeds ] It was really good and , much against my will , I requested for some more . The staff promptly complied with the request without additional charges . The main course consisted of chunks of bekti , grilled to perfection , roast chicken breast with vegetables and pasta baked with a cheese sauce . Dessert was Tiramisu and Apple Strudel with cream , a bit more sweet [ maybe suited to the Punjabi palate ], but well presented and quite edible . The ambience was again delightfully pleasing – walls decorated with interesting artifacts , staid and moderately elegant furniture and state of art crockery and cutlery . The only jarring element was the loud music and a bunch of very loud women diners , out for a kitty lunch . We requested for the music volume to be reduced but there was no respite from the loud chatter that resembled the cacophony of the million Mynahs at the Chandigarh railway station in the evenings ! By and large , the experience was most satisfactory . Having paid around Rs. 5000 for three people , including drinks one departed with a feeling that one would return again , which I did several times .Then , there was a break in my visits and I chanced to visit this place last month , after more than a year . Fortunately , the interiors were the same but something was missing : most of the staff had left and had been replaced . The new staff lacked that warm confident attitude , seemed a bit nervous or perhaps lacked interest . They did their job but could not invoke appreciation . Despite the fact that the restaurant was half empty , there were delays in delivering the order .The menu was a never – ending list of dishes Indian , Continental , Pan Asian and our version of Nouvelle Cuisine , over priced and confusingly overcrowded . The minute I mentioned a cocktail and saw the confused look on the face of the waiter , I immediately changed it to Shandy [ Beer and Lemonade ] . Took us some time to find an alternative for Lemonade which I had to repeatedly insist , was not lemon juice ! Someone should advise the owners that having a list of over a hundred dishes not only confuses the guest but also gives an impression that there is a lack of speciality . We hastily ordered a Caesar’s salad and Pizza Margharita . Even these simple dishes took time to deliver . The food was edible enough . As for prices , the vegetarian Mezze platter , which had been their piece de resistance on my first visit and economically priced . To my horror , it was priced at a formidable rate of over Rs. 1000. The portions were good . There were some left overs which we requested them to pack . Imagine my surprise , when on reaching home we opened the packet and were horrified to see that the pizza had been packed in the same bag as the salad . As a result , both were rendered inedible . It was not the loss but the ‘ couldn’t care less ‘ gesture on the part of the kitchen staff , that was most surprising .Summing it up , one can now safely expect that the place is more like an American Diner sans the ambiance but with the prices of a select gourmet restaurant . And all this because of the wrong choice of poorly trained and unmotivated staff , an extra large and very high priced menu . All this can be rectified with a bit of professional approach and once again Sunnyside Up can become a gourmet’s dream destination.
Place is good , choice of menu is also nice but the rates & the portion served is comparatively high . Must work again on rates .
Been here couple of times. A nice cozy place in the heart of Jalandhar. Good wine... good cocktails... and great food. Live music on weekends is fantastic... but pre book your table coz there is heavy rush... strongly recommended.
