We find that the size of meals depends on the day or who cooks. We go quite a bit, but disappointed the last few times got only 8 bites of squid and 10 pommes for 16.95 I don't want to get for a good meal, but not for this size meal.use twice as much. Ice is the same. Inconsistent on sizes. View all feedback.

We have noticed that the portion sizes at this restaurant can vary depending on the day or the cook. We have been regular customers but have been disappointed with our last few visits, as we received only 8 bites of haddock and 10 fries for $16.95. We don't mind paying for a quality meal, but the portion size was much smaller than what we used to receive. The inconsistency in portion sizes also applies to the ice cream.
On July 25th at 1120 in Jaffrey, I ordered the Fish and Chips for $16.25 and my wife had a Tuna Salad Sandwich for $8.25. The bread was stale and the fries for both orders were hardly warm. The portion of fish was generous, but not very good. We had to ask for utensils. We also had a small order of Peppermint ice cream, which was whipped up and very gooey. We had been there a few weeks ago and the scallops were very good. Our total food bill was $29.43, including a root beer for $1 and ice cream for $10, bringing the total to $39.43. We will not be returning.
The prices at this restaurant are on the higher side considering what you receive. I ordered a small lobster roll, a hot-cake plate, and two sodas, which came to $53.00 with tax. While there was a generous amount of lobster in the roll, it lacked any mayo or dressing. I had to create my own by mixing foil packages, and the grilled haddock was cold, likely pre-made and stored in the refrigerator. The portion size of the haddock was also small, especially for a restaurant that was once known for its generous portions.
The prices at this restaurant are expensive for the portion size. I ordered a small lobster roll, haddock bites plate, and 2 sodas for a total of $53.00 with tax. The lobster roll had a lot of lobster meat but was lacking mayo or dressing, so I had to make my own using foil packets. The grilled roll was cold, as if it had been pre-made and stored in the refrigerator. The portion size of the haddock bites was also small, especially considering that this place is known for serving large portions.

We suggest increasing the portion sizes for a more satisfying dining experience.
