My 8-year-old chose his birthday party at Sweet Pete's and it turned out to be a great choice. The party hosting/confectioner, Jeff, was great and kept the kids entertaining and full of sugar! The room was great, and the children (and adults) loved the ice cream cake that was included. Very recommended! View all feedback.

I visited on Friday, 6/10, together with two other adults and 5 children aged 9-15, Sweet Pete’s Lollipop making class. We had a wonderful experience of making watermelon ollipops (we have made 4-5) and learning about the candy production process of Peter. We definitely take a few more classes. We arrived a little early so that children had fun to look around and check all the candies before our class started. With our class admission we got a pot of ice, and there were so many flavors to choose, but I went with a classic peach as it is the season. Never knew that there was dough flavored ice cream, but yes, in fact, and I was told it tasted like sugar cookies. All at Sweet Pete’s were warm and welcoming and we didn’t leave empty hands. In any case came home with some sea salt caramels and milk chocolate covered popcorn. Yum! Yum! This place is one of the best secrets of Jacksonville and worth visiting for homemade candy, old-fashioned candy and learning about the process (to forget to say they have factory viewing areas so that you can see other things are made). Thanks to Peter (Jacksonville's own Willy Wonka) and all employees at Sweet Pete's to help us start our summer on a great note.
I took my 8yo daughter for the make your own chocolate bar class and we had so much fun! We got to hear about the history of chocolate and see real cacao beans. She was impressed! Our chocolate bars were yummy and we loved picking the mix ins! This was our fist visit, but we will definitely be back
If you gave a sweet tooth and like candy, check this place out! The house is huge! There are close to 3 floors of candy! They have a chocolate area where you can order chocolate covered candy that you want. This candy is made fresh in their on site candy factory. There is also an area where you can get other candy like jelly beans, gummy bears, licorice and other types of candies from other manufacturers that they sell. You can buy some of these in bulk amounts. If you are hungry, there is an on site restaurant that you can stop in for a bite to eat or get a yummy milkshake. They also have some weird sodas that you can buy like peanut butter and jelly, ranch dressing, Buffalo wings, butterscotch root beer, and even one called barf.
Wow! Wow! So much fun- two floors of pure sweetness. If you can think of a Candy they probably have it. Or a certain flavor. We enjoyed our visit and definitely will stop back in on our way through town. It’s a fun spot in downtown Jacksonville. There’s also a sweet ice cream sundae and treats at Frizz and Fare restaurant stop. On the third floor is a space for private parties, Birthday parties are a speciality and there’s also additional small areas for private parties. Don’t forget to check out the viewing areas to watch them make Candy of all varieties. Jelly beans, cotton Candy, chocolates, Gummies, rock Candy, jaw breakers, malt balls, gum balls, and many specialty items. Many photo opts to enjoy your visit… family friendly. Soda pops of all flavors and beer on tap. Parking could be challenging. But worth it
