What User doesn't like about Thai Lao Bistro:
To start, the woman who took my order was incredibly mean and rude. That should have been a red flag not to proceed. I ordered spring rolls and Thai chicken fried rice to go. The food was surprisingly stale and came in a polystyrene container which they handed over to me carelessly. I will never eat here again! View all feedback.
Everything we ordered was off. The customer service was odd. Sticky rice cold and hard. My dish was sweet and soury like I was eating sour patches for dinner the papaya tasted like it wasn’t ready to be cut chopped and eaten. It was just a waste of time and money. We were the only there at that time for that day.
Good food bad customer service. I work at forever 21 I am BIG on customer service. Me and my 4 little sisters went to this store. She did not say hello when we walked in. Plus we were new and most of my siblings didn’t know what to get. The lady didn’t help us. And my little sister ordered this thing she thought was icecream because it was in the ice cream section and had “custard on it” once we got done eating which didn’t take long we were still sitting in the parking lot. We opened the box to see it wasn’t icecream we tried to take it back. WHILE we were ordering the lady didn’t look like she even wanted to be there. Like she had a attitude with us. And honestly we should’ve left because we didn’t feel welcome. I went back and politely asked if there was any way we could switch it out or just get a refund. The lady said flat no. If I would’ve known I couldn’t get a refund I would’ve never went IN in the first place. Because this IS a different Thai place from where we usually go. BUT THEN my cousin went in and how about she got my refund Like is it because I’m black? Me and my sisters will NOT be coming back here. I really feel like she took advantage of my niceness and refused to give me my refund.
I was craving Pho and this was close to work so I was eager to give it a try! I ordered the beef pho and some dumplings. I knew it wouldn't be exact to a Vietnamese style pho but was interested to see how this being a Laotian owned restaurant made their version of a pho soup. The broth definitely had beefy flavor, maybe a little too much salt for my liking though. The beef comes cooked not raw, which i'm personally not a fan of (I like to cook my meat to my preferred temp). There were bean sprouts, green onions, lettuce and noodles in the to-go box. I guess I was expecting Thai basil since it was listed on the description of what is included. I typically also add siracha and hoisin to my broth, which were not included either (but I am not sure these were to be included). My overall to-go experience I would have rated it less based off of what I had ordered here, but I felt that would have been unfair. I am sure their Thai and Laos dishes are delicious and would love to give that a try next time.
Nice quiet atmosphere friendly I ordered the Thai tea whith Tom Yum chicken bowl with Khao Poun noodle soup 1st time trying both and they were amazing wait time was minimal I went at 1:30pm for my hr lunch and made it back in time for once spent $28 by myself
I ordered the yellow curry and Tom kha gai to go and talked with the lovely owner, Swan, while I waited. I enjoyed her jubilant and welcoming personality as well as the carefully prepared food! The food was flavorful and had just the right amount of spice.
