this small bar/grill is the absolute best place for tasty eating and a large selection of ales, ipa’s, etc. the hotel is located in the inner city of Jacksonville, it is convenient to the hyatt regency (easily accessible to foot). they come hungry as the portions are extremely large. but not freeze: eating is so delicious and served cake hot that they eat every last bite. they will not be disappointed here. What User doesn't like about Spliffs Gastropub:
Not good at all. I ordered the Good Fella which comes with pepperoni. Whoever prepped the pepperoni left the casing on the meat. So there was the equivalent of wax paper throughout the entire wrap. I had to take all of the meat out, which just left bread. Also, the mac and cheese is supposed to be baked. Look at the picture and decide if that's baked. The meal was whack. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a cozy hometown feel. They offered beer flights from local microbreweries.
Hands down best meal we've had in a long time! Everything was delicious! The burgers were well seasoned and cooked to perfection -best in Jax IMO. Their mac cheese was creamy and jazzed up with breadcrumbs. Applause to the cooks crafing these wonderful plates. We will definitely be back. Bring your appetite or you will need take away bags for the leftovers-portions are big.
I discovered this gem before a show at the Underbelly. Maxine and her team provided outstanding service, and they offer a fantastic selection of vegan dishes, including the incredible Impossible patty melt.
This restaurant is fantastic! When we arrived, it was completely full, but we were able to get through the line quickly. Our order took a while to come out, which had me worried it was lost. However, the delicious food made up for the wait. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing. I always seem to find hidden gems like this when I'm not in my hometown. Perhaps I should consider moving, so I can frequent this place more often.
Was in town for just a day for a race and randomly popped into this place. The food was great, awesome staff, and had super chill atmosphere. Would be back more often if I lived in the area.
