Wasn’t able to try any food. Walked in at 7:28 pm to the employees frantically cleaning, was waiting for 5 minutes for the employee to stop cleaning and take my order, when I cook in the back told me to “go on, get! We’re closed what are you still standing there for” i looked at him as he had a smirk on his face and walked out, horrible way to speak to customers. Food is amazing, fresh, well seasoned and the portions are huge! Everything is fresh and hot. The restaurant is clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The special today was liver n onions, with yellow rice and gravy. I also got mac and cheese and yams and cornbread. $12) I can't say enough nice things about this place.
All I can say is, if you can cut the pork chops without a knife, you know it's going to be an amazing experience!
Charming little restaurant in the Arlington area! I ordered the chicken tenders meal with green beans and yams, while my spouse enjoyed the dark fried chicken topped with green beans and yams. We also tried the coconut cake and the hummingbird cake—both were absolutely delicious! The food is AMAZING! It definitely has that authentic Southern flair and spice. Our decision to eat here was spontaneous, and it certainly deserves a review. This place is a must-visit if you're craving some home-cooked Southern comfort food!
