Perhaps the restaurant should consider updating their website to accurately indicate whether they are open or closed. I have made two unsuccessful trips to the restaurant in the past few months thinking they were open, only to find them closed. Today, there was a note on the door. I wasted 20 miles round trip twice. Simple, delicious, southern food. Friendly waitstaff. Generous portions. Beautiful restaurant with nice big windows with a great view. The perfect diner. Nuff said.
At this time you can only get meals to be picked up, but what meals! The food here is excellent. Have tried the fried shrimp and the country fried steak. Both were very tasty. The sides are well seasoned and delicious. The cucumbers and tomatoes were especially good. Portions are just right. Call and order a great meal while supporting your local family owned business!
Absolutely delicious food! The pimento cheese was so good. Our server was wonderful! Will definitely be back!
Just went to brunch at Simply Sara’s, our first visit. The food was amazing! All 3 of us had omelets, grits, homemade multi-grain toast; and shared an order of eggplant fries! We all thought food was fabulous The waitress was very nice, owner/chef came out and talked to us. We were last ones to leave at 2:30. (My new favorite breakfast spot, and I live in Keystone Heights How: Our food stayed hot the entire meal!?! What a gem to find in the neighborhood my mother grew up in, and I played in when staying at my grandmothers!! Another reason why we love Ortega!
Simply Sara's is a must-visit restaurant in the Ortega area. They serve the freshest food and take great care to ensure that everything you eat is of the highest quality. Although the wait for brunch was longer than expected, the delicious food made it worth it. Menu items include Fried Green Tomatoes, Grilled Cheese Sandwiches on sourdough bread with havarti and cheddar, Chicken and Waffles with gravy and honey, Baked Mac two ways (with and without shrimp), and a fried corn along with french fries.
