Description

Nestled in Jacksonville, this bakery-café has sparked mixed reactions among patrons. While some rave about its friendly staff and delightful menu—highlighting favorites like the bacon arugula tomato sandwich and three cheese sandwich with roasted chicken—others voice concerns over high prices and inconsistent food quality. Many dishes, including their bagels and croissants, draw scrutiny for being overly dense or lacking in freshness, and service can be unhurried at times. Despite the diverse opinions, there’s a palpable charm to the place, making it a spot worth exploring for some, while others may choose to seek alternatives.

I paid $4.78 for a bagel with cream cheese, and cream cheese was an extra $2.39 when Google says it's $2.65 with your choice of cream cheese. If the price has changed, they should update it. What really shocked me was the Tropicana orange juice for $3.99! That seems outrageous. I understand it's a small business, but that is just ripping people off. My order number was 16 with cashier Zizi on September 29th at 10:41 am.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last Sunday. I purchased a sourdough loaf, two bagels, and an almond croissant. The sourdough loaf was quite light when I picked it up, indicating that it would be dry. It needed to be toasted to be enjoyable, but it was tasty. The bagels were also light and more like rolls than traditional bagels. I suspect they are not boiled before baking, but I could be mistaken. The almond croissant was delicious, although the $10 price tag was a bit steep. The staff member at the counter was very friendly and pleasant.

We tried the chicken bacon avocado sandwich and pesto melt on African sweet bread. They were both delicious! The kids enjoyed the bagel with cream cheese and chocolate filled croissants. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tried the asiago bagel today, and it had the same crunch and chewiness I love about New York bagels! Truly excellent. I look forward to trying more of their food soon.

I just can't say enough good things about the food. I have never had anything that was not absolutely delicious, and the cinnamon rolls are next level.
