The restaurant has been remodeled since our last visit, and the presentation upon entering is very appealing. Camila, our server, was fantastic. As for the food... oh my goodness, it was incredibly delicious! View all feedback.
What J Love doesn't like about El Castillo Market:
The food was decent, and I particularly liked the lengua tacos. However, the meat on the fajitas platter was somewhat overcooked. We requested more chips but never received them. The waitstaff seemed more focused on chatting behind the counter than attending to customers. No one inquired about refilling our drinks, and we had to ask for our check, despite already being given a container for our leftovers. Overall, I... View all feedback.
My favourite dishes here are the 'costilla de res guisada' and 'tacos de lengua.' the whole food is delicious and with the Dominican Republic sazon.
If they haven't tried this place, they're missing. eating is good and so is the service. it is clean and comfortable. the prices are reasonable and the proportion good. it is part restaurant and part convenient business. they also have good lunch specialties. I recommend it
This restaurant is fantastic for authentic Mexican cuisine! I always enjoy dining here. The customer service is exceptional, and the portion sizes are generous. I highly recommend it to everyone!
Dining here is fabulous! The salsa is on the thinner side (for those who care about that), but the flavor is outstanding. The queso is a bit chunky but tastes great, and they serve it in a generous portion—perfect for queso lovers. However, I would recommend the salsa instead, as it is even better. The guacamole is fresh and tasty. The California burrito is both ingenious and massive—definitely more than one person can eat. The quesadilla was okay; I had mine with shrimp, but it wasn’t my favorite. The veggie tacos, though, were amazing—perhaps the best I’ve ever had. If you enjoy tacos, definitely try these. The tilapia tacos were another hit, but I wasn't as impressed with the flavor of the corn tortillas—flour tortillas seemed to pair better. Tacos can be alternatively served in corn or flour, where the corn offers a traditional Mexican style with two tortillas, while the flour is just one. Although corn tortillas can sometimes lack flavor, these were not the case. If you’re on a budget, get two tacos and load them with salsa—you definitely won’t go hungry. For a treat, I recommend trying a traditional horchata as a drink, and then follow it up with a combo or special dish. I guarantee you’ll have leftovers to take home!
I had a wonderful dinner featuring a queen taco and three others. The value for the quality of food and service was excellent! The chicken quesadilla was absolutely delicious, and the cheese sauce really brought the dish together. I enjoyed an asado taco, a carnitas taco, and a birria taco. I could barely finish my plate, but everything was so warm and tasty. I will definitely return, and you should try some authentic Mexican cuisine as well!
