What Mickey Rytman doesn't like about Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q:
I didn't like any of their sauces. Awful for BBQ sauce. Just doesn't have a good BBQ taste. Bread was soaked in butter. Way to much butter! Stew was good. They need to change sauces. Beef was greasy. I have had much better at a mom and pops BBQ. Big let down. Bring your own sauce. View all feedback.
I went with a friend from work and we sat at the bar because he knew a guy who works there. We got our food within a few minutes of ordering. Part of a perk of sitting at the bar because the grill is pretty much right in front of you. It's a lot of food but it's not cheap either. But it's good BBQ so it's worth every penny.
Food has always been good here. Portions are now smaller than before the fire, but I'm also older, so it works out ; The new building was always VERY COLD but visiting today, they did the extreme opposite and it was very warm. Maintenance man showed up while were eating and we heard the AC come on but I barely noticed any difference. Plz make it cold againXD
The service was extremely slow. The food quality sucked. Mac and cheese and fries were NOT fresh. The turkey was subpar and don't pass off brisket as burnt ends. If you don't have it just tell the customer. Worst Bonos in Jax. Would have gotten better service and food at SonnysFood: 1/5
Had a to go order. Service on the phone and in person was great. Meats were good and portion sizes were reasonable. However has issues with the sides. One order had corn on the cob which wasn’t included. The collard greens were hard and very bitter, nothing in them and the stalks were not removed, felt like I was eating tree branches. Coleslaw was dry, no dressing of any kinds. Not even a drop of liquid on the bottom of the container. Hot foods were hot, cold foods were cold, garlic bread was good. I’ll also add this is the best Turkey I have ever had. Based on sides however I couldn’t give more stars and not sure of this is their standard. It was my first time here. Meats beat Sony’s bbq by far
Brittany was the best. My wife and I came in today for an early dinner. We were seated immediately and with love care. Even though Brittany was covering the hostess desk, she gave us her undivided attention. It truly made for a great experience. We will continue to come to the town center Bono's for her awesome customer service.THANK YOU BRITTANY ? ?
