Description

Lou's has quickly gained recognition in Jackson’s dining scene, offering a cozy atmosphere paired with attentive service. Diners rave about the salmon, shrimp and grits, and the delectable bread pudding, often noted as the best they’ve ever had. While many dishes shine, reviews mention occasional inconsistencies in flavor and service, particularly during peak hours. Guests have appreciated the value of daily lunch specials, though some express frustration over wait times and occasional saltiness in specific items. Overall, Lou's promises an inviting culinary experience worth returning for, making it a must-visit destination.

Food, service and atmosphere are great. The sandwich breading was a little salty so I wasn't able to fully enjoy it. The etouffee was really delicious.

My wife was searching on Google for a dinner spot while we were visiting town and stumbled upon Lou's. We decided to try it out and we are so glad we did! The food was fantastic, the service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend checking out Lou's for delicious food and drinks if you are in the area.

The food at this restaurant is almost sophisticated, with a great amount of flavor. The beef salad was outstanding, with candied bacon, pecans, chunks of blue cheese, and a delicious dressing. The real highlight, however, was the bread pudding served with incredible ice cream. The service was decent, although we did have to ask for refills on our drinks twice. Overall, I will definitely return for the food.

Decor and ambiance suggest you’d enjoy a quality meal here, but it’s l just another style over substance Belhaven experience. Shrimp appetizer was simple/good, but the $30 main was horrible: crunchy risotto, slimy spinach, and dry chicken. Trash ️ I would have sent it back, but I was with someone who had recommended the restaurant. Nor should I have had to. It was a collective embarrassment for FOH/BOH to let it pass the window. Your fair isn’t forth the price point. Do better. Also, don’t stack chairs when you’re open another hour on a Friday night. You’re restaurant is too small to close a section without guest feeling pushed out the door just as their food has dropped. Again, do better.
