Keifer's offers a vibrant yet inconsistent dining experience within the realm of Mediterranean cuisine. While the atmosphere is inviting and the service, particularly from staff like Connor, is praised, the food often misses the mark. Some dishes, like the gyros and mushroom wrap, shine with rich flavors and generous portions, while others, such as soggy falafel and greasy fries, leave diners wanting. Although the restaurant boasts a loyal clientele and a variety of vegetarian options, the overall inconsistency in food quality can overshadow its warm service and pleasant ambiance. A visit may be rewarding, yet unpredictable.
Whenever I am in town, Keifer's wrap is a must-have for me. It always takes me back to the first time I tried it in the late 80s. I used to eat at Keifer's often during college and even after I graduated and lived in Jackson. The location may have changed slightly, but the taste remains just as delicious as ever. Thank you, Keifer's, for always being my favorite restaurant in Jackson, MS!
Loved this spot. We got the gyro and the pita mozz. The frosty beers were also a good time.
The service, food, beers, and atmosphere were all fantastic. The manager seemed to be single-handedly running the restaurant with great skill. The kitchen also deserves praise for getting our delicious food out quickly. I would give this place 6 stars if I could! I will definitely be returning.
Service was amazing. Food was amazing. Beers were amazing. Atmosphere was amazing. Didn't catch the managers name but that dude was carrying the restaurant on his shoulders. Props to the kitchen as well for getting our awesome food out so quickly. Wouldgive 6 stars if I could! Will definitely be coming back!
Food and service were fantastic! The pita was delicious and warm at serving. We tried a number of gyro entrees, all were good. Personal favorite was the Shrimp Gyro with fried onion and fried Mozzarella on top one of the best Gyro?s I?ve had a in a longtime! We arrived a little ahead of dinner time and had no wait great patio for outdoor seating, and heated lamps if needed.Definitely recommend for locals or those that are visiting!
