An older white man was being hostile towards a younger black man in front of customers. It was very unprofessional, and I won't be returning.

Not a franchised... read more I've been eating at Hickory Pit for more than 20 years, eating there every couple of weeks. I have always enjoyed their food and unique taste. Not a franchised BBQ joint. Today I purchased two pulled chicken salads. The salads were not fresh tasting and very bland. I had purchased one for a first time person. They were not impressed at all. The absurd thing is that each salad cost just under seventeen dollars. I understand we are in the COVID Enviroment but I can still do fine dining for a quality salad elsewhere. Unfortunately, I was and am very disappointed.

The previous owner dedica... read more This restaurant has turned into an average BBQ spot with prices that are excessively high, all set in a dull and outdated environment. The previous owner dedicated a lot of effort to establishing it as a staple in the metro area, offering great food at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the new owners have failed to reproduce Ginger's famous secret sauce. A meal consisting of a sandwich plate, a drink, and dessert, along with a tip, will now cost you nearly thirty dollars. While HP is decent, it definitely doesn’t justify that price. It's disappointing to witness this change.
