Was tide9220 at Doe's Eat Place a mag?
This week, I ate here for the first time. I had a catfish plate for lunch. The catfish was good. The only drawbacks were that the menu was very limited as were the included sides. Usually with a catfish plate, you would get a small side of coleslaw and some hushpuppies. Their catfish plate only included fries. However, there were some disappointments. Our porterhouse steak was undercooked and was certainly not the medium doneness we ordered. To make matters worse, over half of it was fat, which was really disappointing, even though the flavor was good. The fries were fantastic, but the steak was extremely salty. With every bite, all I could taste was salt.
I'm thankful to Doe's for several things, steaks, steak sandwiches, tamales with chili, and saving our beautiful art deco Greyhound station.
My husband and I had a great lunch at Doe's Eat Place after church. It was delicious and it looked so good. I forgot to take a photo and we ate it all!We came back with some friends for a dinner meal! The filet Mignon was the winner of the evening!
Wow the tamales are super awesome comes with a bowl of chili very authentic and tasty. Ordered spaghetti and one meatball you have a choice of two after I seen my plate glad I got one go out order some drinks appetizers ask for Rachel she will make sureyou are comfortable and your glass stays full !!!!
My wife took me to this nice restaurant for my birthday and we really enjoyed it. The old Greyhound bus station has been purchased and renovated into a very fancy eatery. The menu at lunch is somewhat less than the offerings at dinner but we stillhad a great experience. I partook of the fried catfish and sides, I thoroughly enjoyed it. They offer some great desserts, justtravel on over to Jackson and try it soon!
