We liked this place even though the sauce had a bit too much bite for our tastes. The barbecue sandwich with slaw was nice. I really liked the fixings bar with onions, pickles, etc. We also tried the onion loaf. I would have liked more breading, but that didn't stop us from eating all of it. Other tempting menu items include barbecue nachos, several types of stuffed potatoes and barbecue salads. View all feedback.
What Christina Bryant dislikes about Back Yard -be-cue:
I placed an order and the lady who took it specifically asked what time I wanted to pick it up. I left my job and arrived right on time, but my order wasn’t ready and nothing had even been started. What was the point of setting a pick-up time? There were only four people in the restaurant and one car in the drive-thru. I was very disappointed and ended up canceling my order altogether. I went through the drive-thru, and the service was excellent, with quick service. My food was hot and, as always, fantastic. I really enjoy the giant loaded pork potatoes.
The potatoes were a bit pricey, but I hadn’t eaten all day. While my child was at karate, I thought to myself, "I need to eat!" I had to wait in line for a while, but it didn’t bother me. I opted for the potato without bacon bits since I don’t eat pork, and I really enjoyed it. However, I wish they had added as much turkey to mine as they did to my daughter’s potato, which was packed with toppings. Overall, it was a great experience, and the young lady at the window was fantastic—make sure to keep her!
My church group made a two-hour journey to have lunch at this restaurant, and it was definitely worth it. I ordered the chicken-topped baked potato, and it was delightful. Some ladies from our group got the onion rings, which were the largest I've ever seen! They generously shared them with three of us, and the light batter was simply delicious. I highly recommend both dishes. We had a fantastic time on our trip!
I had a delicious pork sandwich that I really enjoyed, paired with a nice potato salad. Unfortunately, the green beans were a bit lackluster, and I wish I had chosen baked beans instead. The chicken and dressing were quite good, though. When it came to dessert, both the peach and blackberry cobblers were just average. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and welcoming.
Tasty food, no wait time, reasonable prices, and courteous staff—what else could one want?
