I had a BBQ plate with pulled pork and beef brisket a side of baked beans and green beans. Everything was really good, except for the green beans. They were just fair, maybe some onion and or pepper added while they cook, but OK none the less.

I really liked the fixings bar with... read more We liked this place even though the sauce had a bit too much bite for our tastes. The barbecue sandwich with slaw was nice. I really liked the fixings bar with onions, pickles, etc. We also tried the onion loaf. I would have liked more breading, but that didn't stop us from eating all of it. Other tempting menu items include barbecue nachos, several types of stuffed potatoes and barbecue salads.

The baked beans on the menu were decent, but the small piece of bread served was unexpectedly hard. Additionally, the fries were bland and dry. Considering the $20 price, I left feeling disappointed overall.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined over time, which is disappointing, especially since there are so few local dining options in Jackson. Considering the prices, it's becoming difficult to justify eating out. The onion loaf I was served was burnt and inedible.
