We cut I to steaks one was ok and one was still full of blood we shared one steak which was at best average. We asked for the bill and left as the title says very disappointed

The menu manages to combine regional ingredients, popular dishes and a twist of fresh originality. Share several starters to do justice to the great variety of dishes; Every one was a masterpiece in an wholly authentic, unpretentious way. Amazing selection of Spanish wines by the glass. In London, Paris or Zurich I would have paid $150 for the 5 course meal and 2 glasses of wine I enjoyed for just $50. Well worth a detour.

The waiter... read more The apartments here are great and the receptionists very welcoming, but making a booking in my limited Spanish for this restaurant proved impossible! The waiter/bartender insisted he could not get us a table before 9:30pm. When we were sitting having a drink from 8:30 and there was only one table occupied, I asked to see the menu and he said we could not dine as we had no reservation!!!! I had watched him write the reservation in his book only 4 hours earlier! But when the receptionist asked him about it in perfect Spanish he denied any knowledge of anything being written in the book! Really odd and very frustrating. When the hotel reception insisted that he gave us a table immediately, he did so. However, when he then produced the complex menu and had no English version (bearing in mind that all guest information at the hotel is written in several languages) I actually thought he was taking the mIcky! Sadly, by the time I had translated the menu I realised that, if he could deny the fact that I had made a reservation, what confidence could we have with him taking a food order? Horrible experience with this man which left us 20 mins from the centre of town at 9:45pm after a long days motorcycling across the mountains! Luckily the helpful receptionist booked us a local taxi and Alfonso took us to the most fantastic little rustic Pizzeria in town. I should point out that my very limited Spanish has got us through two weeks of eating and drinking and staying at a different location every night and this is my first bad experience, and hopefully the last!
