This restaurant has a really nice location just next to the Marina, we arrived for dinner, the food was ok and I was happy they have a kind of "happy meal" for my son, he was very happy enjoying the little toy that comes with his menu. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Fisher's Ixtapa:
My wife and I ate at this restaurant over the Christmas holidays with our grandshildren and were happy with the food and service so we returned on February 5th with 3 other couples. The next morning we and two of the other couples were notifed about fraud on our cards. This was the only place where we used our cards up to that point. Good food ...watch giving them your card. My husband and I were there today, he had the most disgusting brisket cheese sandwich, swimming in cheap yellow cheese with a few strings of brisket. Me a “new” green salad that the waiter recommend, a bunch of lettuce completely sucked in fatty dressing. Even...though the waiter notice our discomfort he didn’t make an effort to ask what was wrong I cannot believe how anyone can think this place is half good. Very disappointed
Okay lunch, staff speaks excellent English, one of the few places left at the Marina. Will try dinner menu next time. Nice to look at the yachts and sailboats
We chose Fisher’s for Valentine’s Day rather than the place next door, which was full of diners and decorated for Valentine’s Day. Bad choice! No one speaks any English at Fisher’s and our Spanish is minimal. We pointed to our choices on the menu. Apparently...the waiter does not understand pointing either! Instead of fish soup and shrimp skewers followed by our grilled fish meals, we got the soup and main courses! I ate my soup while my husband waited for his skewers. I asked and was told they were coming. When we got shrimp meals I said, “no mas comida”. The waiter said the food was on the grill. We were sitting right beside the grill. There was nothing on the grill. We had finished the shrimp, had a nice conversation with the couple next to us, finished our drinks and were about to ask for the bill when more full meals arrived. We protested since I had said no more food after the shrimp.....no one understood my Spanish. When I gave up the argument said “tengo lo à la casa”, they understood perfectly and packed it all up to go. We have been eating out most nights in Ixtapa for weeks and have enjoyed every meal except this one.
This place is always busy and miraculously still going strong even though Marina has taken a beating.
