I was very surprised when I found out that you can finally get vegan cake in itzehoe and the caffe königsberg are pretty delicous! when I went there, they had three different options, two of them, where rice pudding balls with filling and the other option was something like a bananachocolate roll. all the options where gluten-free and they still had a few gluten-free options such as makkarone that are unhappy where not vegan. I decided to get the rice pudding ball filled with cherry marzipan and a few weeks later I got cake, both as take away. it was pretty good, especially the cake. would go back defenetly there! updated by previous review on 2021-06-12
We were welcomed friendly and accommodating after a long drive on the way to the holiday. There were 4x vegan breakfast, from which we had to take a lot, because it was so plentiful. Lots of bread, cold cut, margarine, fruit, grilled vegetables, fresh vegetables, various hummus and plentiful nuts with vegetable milk and yogurt. That's really awesome! Let's go! Also the vegan broccoli nut corner was very delicious.
When we arrived and asked if there were any vegan options, we were sure that there was, of course, but when reviewing the menu I saw only one beyond burger (which I hate) and a vegan open sandwich. the guy behind the counter then was surprised and said oh, vegan, not vegetarian. so make sure more than once that they want vegan food. there are many seats in the open sea in the garden. No one seems to care about the garden, but maybe that should be the charm of it. in any case it is beautiful on a sunny day. the open sandwich was not bad, but I wished to use vegan vegetables (probably iglo), they would have been more original. when we wanted to order a cake, we were unfortunately unsuccessful after we waited for maybe 45 minutes, no one came to us, take our empty tellers or ask if we needed anything else. also the waitress was not on the look. I would normally have just paid and gone, but since there are no other options in itzehoe, we have ordered a peanut chocolate cake at the counter to go home. After giving the guy behind the theke feedback, he didn't really seem to care, though it looked like the manager overheard our conversation. would be interesting to see if they can improve the service. I ate the cake home, and it was absolutely delicious! I want to try the others.
