I’m not sure why people don’t share menus for this place, so I’ll do it. Feel free to delete this if it’s not allowed. You can check the menu to see the variety of options, which makes it feel like a truly authentic restaurant. The food is served in generous portions and is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the lamb souvlaki. I’m looking forward to trying the pizza and desserts on my next visit! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Souvlaki House:
Strange place. A bit dirty but not too bad. Worst gyros I’ve ever seen (photo attached, partially eaten), like mystery meat. However, the lamb souvlaki was actually delicious, I recommend it. Nice service and friendly people. Again, gyros were terrible, don’t do those but the souvlaki was very very good. View all feedback.

We did not get what we ordered, and they are not answering the phone. We are staying at a remote hotel w/o dinner options, and so we ordered enough food for two hungry people. They delivered, to the front desk, something completely different from our order and only enough food for one person. Never mind that we *way overpaid* for what was delivered, it was only enough for one, and we are two. Two hungry people. And they are not answering the phone. Do not order food from these clowns.
I've only been here a handful of times and it's usually pretty good, but today we made the mistake of ordering the spanakopita and it was literally inedible. The filling had huge chunks of feta that were overpoweringly salty along with what tasted like mushy frozen spinach. I understand that it might've gotten cold during transport, but it tasted awful. I couldn't even swallow a bite because of how salty it was. The bifteki is fine, but it's nothing special, and considering I paid $33 for this meal, I don't think I'll be coming back again. Save your money, there's a halal cart across the street and there's better Italian food in Ithaca.
Don't worry to try the Italian menu just because of the name of the restaurants! I have had NIE such a good Pesto Pasta in my whole life! A friend who went to Cornell before a DECADE remembers this restaurant and actually recommended it. Go for the angel hair pasta or a long pasta in general, it supplements the pesto sauce. Also amazing options include the chicken souvlaki platter, it was tasteful, but not over salted like many other restaurants.
The restaurant offers fresh, authentic Greek dishes that are prepared traditionally. There is also a wide variety of pasta and pizza available. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.
