While the ambiance is charming and the décor inviting, service inconsistencies have raised concerns among patrons, with some feeling overlooked compared to other diners. Menu highlights include well-received dishes like gnocchi and wood-fired pizzas, yet quality can be hit-or-miss, as seen with the lobster ravioli and shrimp scampi. Valued for dietary options and attentive staff, the restaurant can become noisy during peak hours. Despite the drawbacks, many guests are drawn back by the delightful flavors and generous portions, making it a noteworthy culinary destination worth exploring.
We were a group of 8 and were seated at a long rectangular table in the back, which was perfect. Everyone enjoyed their meals - the chicken parmesan portion was generous, the gnocchi was delicious, the salmon was small but tasty, and the cheese pizza was a hit. Unfortunately, my tenderloin steak sandwich was tough and hard to eat as a sandwich. The flavors were good, but it was challenging to cut with a regular table knife. Overall, the service was good.
I have been living in Ithaca for two years and this restaurant was the first time I felt like a minority. My husband, daughter, and I sat at our table for 20 minutes without anyone taking our order or bringing us water. Surprisingly, a white couple at the next table, who arrived after us, received their order 15 minutes before us. The waitstaff walked by us several times but completely ignored us. They took orders from people who arrived after us but wouldn't take ours. Many people who arrived after us got their meals before we did, leaving us waiting helplessly. When we tried to get the waiter's attention, they simply told us to wait, making us feel like we were the only ones being made to wait. I would advise against visiting this restaurant during peak hours if you are not part of the majority.
Over rated, drizzled food, special presentations, cost more. Too much. Side salad is extra. Low lighting. Ordered chicken parm. Was okay. Nothing great. Very disappointed. Probably won't go again. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
The restaurant offers excellent food served by fast and friendly staff. The only drawback is that it can become a bit noisy as the crowd increases. Food and service both receive a rating of 5, while the atmosphere is given a 4.
Fantastic food, my mom said her eggplant Parmesan was the best she has ever had and that's pretty good for someone celebrating their 64th birthday! My chicken Parm was very good, and the chicken Marsala was also amazing. Service was prompt and courteous! I will be back Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
