I enjoyed my meal here, think a larger local group) party was enjoying cigars drinks in the main dining room out front, so I asked to sit adjacently; it seemed like a popular celebratory type of restaurant. not sure why michelin singled this out (they definitely are losing their touch). lamb was super nice but everything else was just ok more for bankers to go on expenses, who like a smarmy service, than a great culinary experience. bread, olive oil, old fashioned, fish soup all so so. no internet. cocktail takes ages despite empty restaurant. lovely olives and cute cat View all feedback.
Ok, so the best thing I had here was the service ,and the location. I came across this Mechlin recommend restaurant, and was shocked by the food I lest the plates full as they came. It was bland ! presentation was unsavory, thumbs down will not come back here again.
I never provide 5*. To me, the price was not 100% in balance with the quality. In fact I ate better for less. But worth the try!

Last year, Michelin started to grade restaurants in Istanbul and Şans is on the list. I did not go there for years. The food quality is acceptable, not great. The chef was not present, nor the owner. The waiter gave my wine in a glass, did not pour it at the table, did not ask me if I liked or not. The wine was quite bad, apparently from a bottle oppened long time ago but he told me that they will open a bottle for me. When I asked to see the bottle, he came with an uponed bottle. I asked him to change my wine with that one. He opened the bottle and without letting me taste it, filled my glass. Very unprofessional for a restaurant in Michelin list.
