if they are very hungry and they want to eat some nice vegan, I would not recommend omar. they do not have many vegan options, although they easily “veganize” some dishes by making the cheese out. eating is not very fresh and they overfreeze the sweet and make them quite fat. also we were very disappointed by finding out that they use chicken broth to cook the lens soup so that it is not vegan. We found omar after a busy day of sightseeing. it is quite similar to the other places in the opposite, with decent but not excellent food and quite limited vegan options. In addition to the typical meze and olive oil dishes they have vegan/veganisable lentil soup and pasta. the service was however excellent: the personal knew what was vegan and what was not, they were friendly, and they were attentive. it is a bit expensive, but they also pay for the direct look on hagia sophia. I wouldn't try to go here especially, but it's great if they are in the opposite and for more than roasted chestnuts or maize on the cob starving.
We visited omar cafe due to the reviews on happy cow. and we were very disappointed because we found that there was a typical tourist demolition with low quality and overpriced dine! we sat up on the roof terrace to enjoy the magnificent view of the hagia sophia and the blue mosque. the personal (friendly but pushy) allowed us to eat something up only under the condition. we have. the food we ordered was not tasty, organic or so, but fat and of low quality. the price was too high. we did not return to omar ́s during our visit. I guess being the vegan / vegetarian place is at the galata tower where we found a good place to eat.

However, the employees there are very nice and friendly and they are aware of what vegans can eat, so they will help them with the menu (sometimes not usual here). also the best thing at this place are the amazing view of the hagia sofia from the top. somehow it helps them forget the fat food.
Vegans, skip this place. the only vegan option there is hummus appetizer. it's pretty good. the vegetarian section of the menu has listed two dishes, both with cheese.
We really liked it here, super nice roof terrace with stunning panorama und food was tasty. Prices fair and staff super friendly. Would go there again!
