We visited the restaurant: Great location romantic place, nice table view; we had a 5 course menu 4 out of 5 were great, the main course was not our thing it didn 't match the whole menu. Service (waiting staff) was very friendly and very professional. Unfortunately for cleaning of the tables they use roboters which we didn 't appreciate. Overall a good experience. What André Kolodziej doesn't like about Parkhotel Wasserburg Anholt:
We were guests on a visit to the castle parks. The Aperol Sprizz was just subpar and the drinks menu wasn 't up to date. I would have liked to drink a wine, but if it only says: France, dry, Germany dry... I 'll get out. I would like to know what I can order. A Viennese style schnitzel, no matter where the pig comes from, for 34 EUR is a disgrace, too expensive even for veal, truffle mayo or not. The whole atmosphere... View all feedback.
Food, service, ambiance are outstanding. From the breakfast buffet to the delicate lunch offerings. Can't wait for dinner tonight.
We weren't hotel guests but visited the park and were absolutely thrilled! Such a beautiful, well-kept large garden! There were one or two highlights to discover, such as two horses and baby ducks. Nice seating and a great view at all times. Unfortunately, we didn't test the café because it wasn't barrier-free. But it made a very good impression. The foyer of the hotel also looked simply beautiful! Unfortunately, we were not informed at the entrance ticket office that the castle can only be visited as part of a one-hour guided tour and that tickets must be booked in advance (online). We would have preferred to walk through the premises with our little daughter on our own and at our own pace (probably faster).
Beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous. Rose garden maze and lots of different ways to walk around. Plenty of wildlife to spot too. Service: 5
The name gives it away. This hotel set in an old castle is a perfect retreat for a romantic or even quiet get away. Situated just over the Dutch boarder it’s a manageable drive for most Dutch citizens. I’d however recommend this hotel to anyone who’s looking for a fairytale get away. The kitchen is fantastic as for breakfast lunch a dinner. The staff is friendly and very professional They have a lovely terrace that overlooks the water and castle garden, which you can wonder through for free as a guest. Once you take a walk in the magical and well kept garden you understand the admittance fee. Parkhotel Romantik I give you 5 stars.
There is something special about this place. First it's located in a 12th century castle. The restaurant is directly on the moat overlooking some amazing...
