wonderfully located in front of snow, at the foot of the slopes. Very nice! Everything would be perfect if the service was a little faster! Thankfully, the waiter is very nice! View all feedback.
What Ninfa Ruggiero doesn't like about The Cow Club:
Was there few days ago. We come on a regular basis for the last 30 years. The attitude of the manager was absolutely disgusting. Restaurant was empty, but they did not like us choosing our table. The waitress was inhibriated and neglected. We asked to have...tagliatelle instead of penne, was refused first, but after insisting they did it. As a result they added 3 euros on the bill, without telling us! When challenged the... View all feedback.
The cow club has changed owners and taken key items off the menu. So no more entrecote, no more lamb chops. Basically they have made the menu more expensive. I fully appreciate that they have to make money, but we have chosen not to return so not sure this menu price inflation will pay off. we have been to Isola for 10 straight years and the cow club would make up at least three nights of our seven, not anymore
The Cow Club is located just to the right hand side of the nursery slopes in Isola 2000. I had visited it in the long past before smoking was banned in restaurants. I made two visits in Feb. Lunch time and in the evening. The atmosphere on both occasions was very friendly, English was spoken and food great. Of course it was skiing/alpine fare, but good. Unsurprisingly no fish on the menu. Not too expensive given its location. OK wine list and as mentioned the best bit was the friendly service, not something every small French restaurant is known for!
Walk up the piste, red illuminated sign, great food, welcomed us in with 2 ( well behaved) dogs. Would return, very enjoyable.
I've been twice to this restaurant - the first time as a couple we weren't impressed at all with the rude service (I know they have an arrogant reputation to uphold, but is a bonjour on arrival so incredibly difficult). I put it down to bad luck and tried a second time with a bigger bunch of friends. Same icey reception, shoved in a corner, continually ignored, rude service and then after leaving no tip (i'm usually a big tipper but only for good service) subjected to sarcastic insulting comments from the barman. There are far, far superior restaurants in Isola - avoid at all costs.
The raclette is amazing, great experience every time. The staff is very friendly and we love the ambiance.
