After we just retired, we've been on the move for several months. Visited Erding during the day and returned to dinner tonight. Starkl has excellent service. My husband enjoyed his first good steak since we left Canada and I enjoyed the variety of roasted vegetables and salad I had with a jumbo baked potato. Thank you. View all feedback.
What Jennifer Bode doesn't like about Cafe Starkls-Bistro Erding Am Muhlgraben 7:
Friendly enough, reasonable food at reasonable prices (but beware, only cash!), but there was something missing.,The decor was tired, and not as "homey" as one might expect or want from a small-town German restaurant, but then again, Erding residents might not be all that interested in the old-time-look.The food was reasonable, fairly interesting and more than adequate. We had the potato pancakes. You're talking a little English, but that's more fun. Great atmosphere along the river.
We had a nice evening meal to finish our journey (Erding is a great stop before the departure of Munich). Stakls was right at the river with beautiful outdoor seating. Our waitress was incredibly helpful. The Erdinger beer was of course delicious. Just note, at a nice night, the tables are quickly reserved so you might want to call.

Not, I think, a place to return; particularly given that on my walk to the bank (I didn’t' realise it was cash-only), I passed three more appealing options!
We had a lovely evening meal to top off our trip (Erding is a great stop before flying out of Munich). Stakls was right by the stream with pretty outdoor seating. Our waitress was incredibly helpful. The Erdinger beer of course was delicious. Just note, on a nice night the tables get reserved quickly so you might want to call ahead.
