We only went because of the tastecard discount, but all the dishes were delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend checking it out if you have a tastecard. View all feedback.
What Mohammed M doesn't like about Brasserie On Upper Street:
We've eaten in this restaurant for many years and lately for the last few months fries and squids are just disgusting. Every time we keep asking the staff if there was a different chef in the kitchen and every time the answer was no, it's always the same. We've eaten in this restaurant for many years and lately for the last few months fries and squids are just disgusting. Every time we keep asking the staff if there was a different chef in the kitchen and every time the answer was no, it's always the same. Last Sunday afternoon, 11/8 20019, I was personally very upset and I felt treated like a dog, as my fries were very badly cooked and the squids were also. Fried potatoes in this place have always been of a very bad frozen quality and also imagine if they are served hard and too cooked (and each time it is exactly the case). I just can't describe squids is just horrible and unacceptable. We just don't know why this restaurant is slowly losing the good quality we once met. It's so sad!
The restaurant was able to accommodate several tables close together so that all of our family members could enjoy a night out together.
This restaurant has never disappointed us when we've visited, especially if we're looking for fast food. The burgers and fried zucchini are delicious. The atmosphere is rustic.
We had a terrible experience there last night. We arrived there at 9.15 , Saturday and got delivered the wine lists, etc., all right. When we went to order the wine, it was over everything. Like everything. All they had was wines per cup, as they were apparently starting a new wine menu. What is understandable, is a non-phase management decision in the old and new (although not very well), but as a waitress that could have reported before we spent 5 minutes choosing only to be told later. They also finished three incomings, three main dishes in their not so great menu, that it was a bit annoying, but these things happen. The incomings were decent, the main dishes were absolutely terrible. A huge dish of repeated Cesar salad with chicken with almost any sauce, and the lettuce stubb cut in jewellery and more. My boyfriends/hunting mussels were courier and tasteless, their potatoes were frozen. I wanted to complain, but it wouldn't have been receptive, so just gritted our teeth. When the main dishes were taken away, we were not offered coffee or dessert, given the invoice without any explanation. If they need close then enough, but it's so rude not to explain to your customers why they haven't been offered. The guy who took us our payment was gross and rude, and we went with an almost turfed feeling. They had the attitude where we were the last clients at the end of the night and that we had a long day so we didn't care about our experience was like. very dissapoionted and I wouldn't recommend anyone.
