River Delta Diner - Isleton

The food is good and very reasonable. The wings are very good. Crispy and meaty. They have a few big screens and a pool table. Not much parking.

I love this place, everytime I visit family on the island I stop by or order food to go. The steak eaters in our family RAVE about their steaks. Their entrees offer large portions. The chicken and veggie dishes are always freshly cooked and moist. Hamburgers are off the charts!!! Ambiance not the best, but we don't go there for the decor; we go there for the GREAT FOOD!!!

Tonight I joined several friends for dinner at RDD. Our (sorry, no name) waitress was on it! We were seated promptly, received menus and water. She was back soon, took our orders, brought salads and extra napkins quickly. Our meals took a short while to arrive; we had ordered a wide variety: patty melt w/garlic fries, the special skillet, the seafood combo, the chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed, and the corned beef hash eggs Benedict. I think the best liked dinners were the seafood combo and the patty melt, the skillet's eggs were disappointing and my Benedict arrived with a hard poached egg (which was promptly replaced). All portions were very generous; two of us took home leftovers. I loved the idea of the corned beef hash Benedict; I think the hash was canned but the Hollandaise was good and creamy (could have used a bit more lemon). I did bring home half an English muffin with the hash and lots of Hollandaise for breakfast tomorrow (I'll poach my own egg to top it after carefully reheating the H sauce). RDD is a good solid diner with a wide variety, breakfast, lunch and dinner--and Rio Vista, Isleton and Walnut Grove can always use more choices.

Went here 10 months ago I liked it. Went last week and was disappointed. Good was poor, presentation poor. Will think twice if there is a next time.

I would check in but I had no cell service. Food was awesome and service even better. Thanks for a wonderful Sunday breakfast. I would go back again if I was in the area.
