Despite these setbacks, friendly service and a welcoming ambiance keep diners hopeful for better visits in the future, promising a vibrant community spirit within this beloved establishment.
Always had great food on previous 3 occasions but a little disappointed on our birthday meal. Portion sizes have dropped. Burnt prawn toast starter. Main Cod batter was pale and soggy not crispy. Shame as lovely location. Hoping our next visit will return to how good it was previously.
The ABBA tribute band was very average, certainly not worth the £30 ticket price. The bar prices being increased with no notice when the music started showed little regard to loyal customers. Charged £2.40 for a small lemonade which was quite excessive compared to what I have been charged elsewhere. .
What an incredible find. The food was excellent the landlady and staff were friendly and very helpful. Good selection of dishes. The place was warm and inviting. Will definitely go again
Fantastic night out there were 10 of us celebrating a family birthday. The food was amazing, staff super friendly and the singer was just the right volume so we could all chat. I had the seafood chowder which was delicious and the couple opposite me shared the steak sharer which was huge! Highly recommend x
If you go to the Isle of Wight don't miss this fantastic pub, it's a must. Great atmosphere, the loveliest staff, amazing food. We had dinner twice and lunch once, the fish sharing platter was incredible, plenty for four so don't eat lunch! Meat platter was equally amazing, great quality meats, perfectly cooked, generous amounts and lovely sauces. The quiz night was fun and the live music was great. We will definitely be back!
