I went to this restaurant with my coworkers during the week and was very impressed with their excellent service and atmosphere. Great place good ales, and excellent homemade food. The Sunday roast is the best I’ve had. My wife is vegetarian and she enjoyed the food very much. Recommend to everyone who likes a family run bar.
An absolute gem in the centre of Ventnor. A real old fashioned welcome from the congenial host Graham. The traditional home cooked food is excellent and there is a good selection of ales. The memorabilia and decoration is really quite special. Definitely worth a visit.
This is our regular eatery for great food and at an unbelievable low cost. I do not know how they can do it for the price. Half price of what you would expect elsewhere.

My husband and I stopped on the off chance to have a drink in this small but brightly decorated hostelry and ended up having an excellent freshy cooked two course lunch from a wide ranging menu served by a welcoming and convivial landlady. The service, atmosphere and quality of the food could not have been better. And great value!
