they have breakfast for their sister hotel, the glanneigr, and the breakfast was excellent. a special mention to emily, who looked after us the most tomorrow. She was so helpful and couldn't do enough for us. we also returned for an evening meal and that was also great place for a meal. View all feedback.

very bad experience here yesterday. lunch for 7 in a half empty restaurant. the service was very slow, although several tables were empty. we had 2 zöliakien in our party and made sure that the waitress understood our order that she read us back to confirm when the net arrived, the child meal was wrong (2 gf meal instead of 1), then the adult meal was wrong, we had 4 french with one ordered to be gf, but 4 identical... We are done sandy mount, which was eating amazing, my only problem was the portion sizes were so big I could not fit everything in. can not wait to go back. great value for money. beautiful, attentive staff. found that it is also doggie friendly, can it be better?
My Beautiful Daughters booked this as a lovely treat ,what a terrible let down . Sticky ,stained tables The food was awful . Never again.
Lovely meal yesterday for mums birthday. Staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. Food was awesome…I had poussin. Mum is a vegetarian who doesn’t like spicy food and often struggles to find something she likes. Good choice for veggies and can mix and match between starters and sides but also have a vegan menu on request which had a good choice. Dog friendly area in the bar which is a lovely space. Would definitely recommend
Mothers Day 10/3/24 Five adults, two mothers, one was 92 years old. We booked the Special Afternoon Tea at £25 a head. What a terrible mistake that was!!!! We waited 30 mins for the tea. Then we had a wooden tray each of beige items. Two pieces of onion quiche sat between dry sponge and an even dryer scone, no butter, jam or cream !! Then 5 fish cakes
This is our second visit to the island and one of the reasons we return is the quality of food and service it surpasses other places in uk we have visited. We have just had dinner at the sandy mount house and thought it the best place we have eaten so far in terms of service and quality of food on the menu. Will definitely look to return before we leave the island .
