It’s a mixed bag on this one. Location and view from the window seats is great, décor is simple and functional but clean and comfortable. Service was great. The chips and gravy was good but the panini was a bit lacking in cranberry and a smidge pale and undercooked but otherwise a good meal stop. View all feedback.
What Ash Lovejoy doesn't like about Marina Stores Cafe:
Me and my family used to come here quite often and it was always your typical cafe food, nothing to really complain about. We went for the first time in a while the other day and ordered bacon and hash brown baps. A pleasant meal in this dog friendly cafe with lovely views across the water. Friendly staff, good value. And, at this time of year (late September) easy parking.
Whenever I stay with family I love visiting here, excellent breakfasts and coffess. Always a warm welcome and great value. You can even get a pint in the afternoon
Although we live locally, this was the first time we had visited for a while. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff were attentive, and the service and the food were both good. A huge bonus for us is that the layout of the cafe is suitable for access using a mobility scooter or wheelchair. It definitely won't be too long before we're back again!
This is a great place to enjoy a drink and take in the beautiful scenery. We came in for a cup of tea and ended up staying longer just to soak in the view. The service was fast and the tea was delicious.
We had a delightful late lunch at the cafe when one of our group, Jim, experienced a health issue. Christine quickly called an ambulance, while another staff member provided a chair and water. We are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and attention shown not only to Jim, but to all of us. Thankfully, Jim was able to be released from the hospital.
