What DavePuls doesn't like about Breakwater Country Park Cafe:
This is a lovely cafe, essential for visitors to the country park, with good food and menu. The principle is great to help disdvantaged people into work, but they were too understaffed when we visited and the poor waitress was terribly stressed. We waited longer than ideal, we we didn't mind. Normally they will have 3 staff members so should be able to provide a good service. View all feedback.
Lovely cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price, which included toast and a hot drink. We were so impressed, we went back again the following morning! The staff were very friendly had helpful too.
Compared to a lot of cafes we’ve tried this week this cafe was amongst the best mainly because it was open and serving food at 3.30pm! They have a dog friendly room, toilets and serve the usual cakes, toasties, chips etc. the food was freshly made, tasty and cheap. The staff were also really friendly and made a fuss of our dog.
Had heard that the opening of this cafe was hit and miss so took our own sandwiches and coffee. Visited yesterday Friday 18th March 2022. Cafe closed despite the beautiful weather and the children's park being very full. A coach full of school children there also on a school trip. No alternative available for ice cream so a great opportunity for an ice cream van.
2 ok coffees, ordered the cheese burger. Dry tasteless. No suggestion of garnish, but more to the point, ungrilled grated cheese. No fried onions ketchup mayo or ANYTHING. Asked for mayo and ketchup. 2 sachets of ketchup were plonked down . Dont go
My wife and I have been here several times in recent days after discovering the cafe during a walk to North Stack from Holyhead. For a small, sparsely staffed cafe in one of the less well-known tourist places on Anglesey, the offering is surprisingly good, with a decent choice of small meals and hot or cold snacks, as well as home-made cakes and hot or cold drinks. The staff do an excellent job, consistently, at getting orders taken and served quickly, and the food quality has been excellent. Seems to be closed on Mondays and Wednesdays at present (October).
