Asia Caribe - Isla Mujeres

V fresh food, great flavours, fresh homemade fishfingers on kids menu...good veggie choices...we'll be back! :-) :-)

We eat at this restaurant at least one time each year that we visit Isla. We are vegetarian and they have delicious choices, and will gladly customize other dishes on the menu. We had the drunken noodles and the cashew tofu which were both delicious. Although we don't eat sushi, others seemed to enjoy it and they even have a vegetarian option for sushi. Worth trying!!

My daughter was married on June 24th on Isla and she insisted that the bridesmaids/bachelorette party HAD to be at Asia Caribe! The owners, as usual were out in front offering the delicious samples of Sticky Pork ( I have no idea how anyone resists). The menu selections are so delicious that we ended up getting a huge variety of foods. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly to our order...not an easy task to satisfy ladies from a variety of backgrounds and ages 16-70 but it was perfect.The younger ladies tried almost every appetizer on the menu. My best friend had the Drunken noodles, I had sticky pork, sushi and the best mojito on the island.The owners even threw in a little extra desert!That wasn't enough...the last night on the island we asked everyone in my immediate family where we could go for our final dinner. The men were so jealous of our experience that we all went back for a second visit to Asia Caribe. This time we had Pecan encrusted Red snapper that was so fresh, my husband had the garlic/lime Red snapper, more sushi,Sweet and Sour chicken and the owner helped us select the perfect wines to match our dinners!!You don't get this quality of food and service anywhere!If you only get one choice of dinner on Hidalgo make sure you don't miss this treat!Service, Hospitality and Fresh, Original dishes makes this my Isla favorie!

Ate at Asia Caribe tonight with the family, five of us.... egg rolls were great, fried rice was fantastic, Shrimp Pai Thai delicious and the hostess and host were super accommodating and kind. Will definitely be going back before we leave the island!

I'm not a terribly picky eater. However, we ate here while in Isla and it was honestly awful. The good reviews really surprise me. And the staff/owners are incredibly rude if you don't like what they prepare for you. Both of our dishes were truly bad. Neither of us ate what was on our plates, and asked them to be taken away. The waiter grabbed them and zoomed off without a word. I thought maybe he'd come back and ask us if we wanted something else, or something.... but no one ever came back. We had to get up and start to leave (after we finished our drinks) and then he quickly came scampering along to hand us a check and ran off again. He'd charged us FULL PRICE for both meals. We went up to pay and just told the lady frankly that "We didn't eat any of this, and there is no way we're paying for it". She got very rude very quickly. I can get rude too though, when provoked. So I basically told her, "we got food that wasn't edible, asked them to take it back, and never saw the waiter again. He didn't ask if we wanted it remade or exchanged, and didn't even care to come back and see if we wanted anything further to drink. Horrible food, horrible service, and you expect me to PAY for this???? Oh heck no!" So the more rude and loud she got with me, the more rude and loud I got back. Then she realized that other potential suckers (customers) were watching the scene going on, shaking their head, and leaving. So in frustration, she slammed down the check and said something to the extent of "Fine, pay for your drinks and leave". So we did, GLADLY. You couldn't pay me to go in this place again. There are WAY too many good choices to waste your money on this place.
