While the service was incredibly warm, and the dishes are presented beautifully, we encountered a few minor issues that we wouldn’t expect from a restaurant at this level: the table was dirty, and the mark was covered up with a napkin; they forgot to bring us enough knives with the bread and butter, then overcompensated by bringing us butter knives as well, which at this point we didn’t need; they tried to clear our plates away while one of us was still clearly eating the food was on the fork; we weren’t offered to taste the wine prior to pouring. These would all be forgivable if the food were up to par, but it doesn’t really meet the standard of other restaurants in this price range. Some flavours were over powering (saffron), the fish was overcooked, and the temperature variation in some of the dishes was a bit odd. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t meet the projected expectations. It’s style over substance, and overpriced for what it is. We had some fantastic meals on Lake Iseo, but unfortunately this wasn’t one of them.

Aside from the stunning lakeside location, the service is efficient and friendly, and Chef Carlo Spina's cuisine is astonishing in its flavor, creativity, and careful selection of ingredients. The wine list is well-stocked. Excellent value for money. I'll always be happy to return!
