Shawarma Square offers an authentic taste of Jordanian cuisine, celebrated for its juicy chicken shawarma, flavorful garlic sauce, and freshly baked pita. While some diners experienced delays with service and found sauces lacking, many praised the overall food quality, especially the perfectly cooked fries and rice bowls. The ambiance is inviting, and the staff is reportedly cheerful, creating a pleasant dining environment. With a variety of offerings, including unique flavors like Tex-Mex shawarma and enticing catering options, Shawarma Square is carving a niche for itself in the DFW food scene—worth a visit for any shawarma enthusiast!.

Great food and service. I had the chicken and beef rice bowl and the grape leaves. I didn’t try the coffee or the desserts, but I definitely will next time! Everything I ordered was delicious. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit, I was with a group that included four hungry teenage boys. They scarfed down every bit of their rice sample bowls. Two proteins with sauces, veggies and wonderful delicate rice. That was the special of the month, it would be super anytime. The restaurant was very clean and organized. The managing partner,Sawsan Abublan, a gracious lady even came and visited with us for a while. She was more than eager to explain the menu and food customs. The salad bowl was a sample of many of the menu items prepared onsite . I especially enjoyed the chicken and chopped veggies. Everything, including the bread, is freshly prepared daily on the premises. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and desserts all priced reasonably. Even tho I visited in the evening, I imagine this spot is hopping with the lunch crowd looking for a quick healthy yet very tasty meal. I will certainly plan a return visit soon to try another offering. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

They call themselves a "Quick Service Restaurant," but they clearly don’t understand what that means. I waited 40 minutes for just two sandwiches, even though I ordered online. The staff showed no sense of urgency and claimed they were backed up on orders, despite there only being three customers in the store. They cut the chicken and grill it, which isn’t authentic shawarma at all. Then they wrap it in a tortilla and call it authentic—really? It costs $7.99 for a tiny sandwich with just a couple of bites. Their "quick service" claim needs serious revision. The service was terrible—they just told me to wait 20 minutes with no apology. I won’t be coming back. There are plenty of other Mediterranean places nearby that are much faster. At the end of the day, you’re just ordering a shawarma, not a multi-course meal that should take two hours. The food ended up in the trash; the chicken was so dry. Each sandwich had maybe two ounces of meat, but it wasn’t even proper chicken—just some dried, thin pieces that even my dog wouldn’t eat.

Overall, the service was excellent and the food was decent. We ordered the chicken shawarma (tandoori press), rice bowl, and fries. The flavors were alright, but the sauces didn’t have much taste. The rice bowl was a bit dry, with rice, salad, and falafel that didn’t blend together well. The shawarma was just average. Next time, we’ll try some different menu options.
